Update: on March 11, 2021, 38 more Initial Contact Letters were mailed out, with almost all of them directed to Offices of Sustainability at universities and colleges in the United States. An additional sentence was added to the original Initial Contact Letter:
“Universities and colleges can take the lead by--
1) providing institutional support for seeking out and collecting the 5-10 page overviews from positive tipping point organizations and institutions, and support for building the clearinghouse website”
And--I have now received one positive and supportive response to an Initial Contact Letter:
“We really appreciate the important questions you're asking and are honored to be considered as a potential project partner, however we're unfortunately not in a position to assist at this moment….
“With every best wish for your project's success….”
A total of 170 Initial Contact Letters have now been mailed to potential collaborators.
